Luke Herriman - Story of 1999

THE TEARER TOBY

Once there was a boy named Luke. He lived with his Mum and Dad.

One-day Luke’s Dad asked him if he wanted to go for a bike ride. Luke said "yes". So off they went BUT once they got half the way up the hill something happened. It was Luke’s evil brother Toby. Luke stopped. He was worried. He didn’t want to fight his own brother, but when he saw that they both had bikes Luke decided that they would have a bike race. So they both agreed that they would start at the top and finish at the bottom.

When they where ready they went to the start line. Luke’s Dad started the race and his Mum finished the race. Dad said "READY SET GO" they jumped off the start line. Luke was first off the start line. Toby was right on his tail. Luke was going so fast he crashed and seeing Toby was right behind him Toby went flying over the top of Luke and hit a tree. Now Luke had two on top of him.

Toby was lucky he had a helmet on, but he was still badly hurt. He got his bike and kept going. Luke was OK he took off as well. Luke went very fast. They were tyre to tyre but then they touched each others bike. Toby wobbled but he still didn’t fall over. They got near the finish but Luke wobbled and hit himself on the post. They both went through at the same time. Luke had broke his arm and was so badly hurt he had to go to hospital.

Just then Toby noticed that Luke was really his brother, so he decided to surprise him. He decided that he would follow the ambulance so he would get to the hospital to surprise Luke. Luke was in a bed when Toby came in the door. Luke was so surprised that he really felt better. Luke and Toby hugged each other and went home.
