The Harriman/Herriman Family Tree

A Bit of Fun

Many moons ago when I was living back at Eudunda for the second time I decided to help the kids in the area by becoming an Assistant Cub Leader. One of the things you had to do was training, that was held at "Wood House" in the Adelaide Hills. Wood House is located on Mt. Lofty the tallest of our hills (Ranges) is a backdrop to the Capital, Adelaide. I had a great time training although a dunking in the cold stream when my foot slipped needed a quick change of clothes.

On the way home I decided to visit a friend (Pam Christie) down south of the city and on returning from them (it was getting late at night) I took off from the traffic lights on my Ducati only to be pulled over by the local Police. Questions were going though my mind (like - did I speed away from the lights?) - I didn't think I had. When the Policeman asked me why I thought I had been pulled over (boy! is that a leading question which can get you in trouble). I replied that I had no idea. It turned out that the tail light on the Duke had blown. They offered to escort me to the nearest service station to get a new globe. Being one that was prepared for most things (big double panniers and on longer trips heaps more) I was able to reply that I had one in the panniers. The guys were good enough to hold the torch for me while I fiddled around finding it and replacing the blown one.

I felt bad that they were spending the time helping me so I thought I would lighten up their day by sharing a joke that I had obtained from the training camp. The boys were that delighted with it that I think it made their day. They spent a bit of time putting it in their note book. I think they were happy someone had treated them as human beings too. So here it is: - Can you solve it?

IRISH CROSSWORD (Apologies to the Irish - apparently we do have some connection with the Irish - so I feel more confident in putting this on the net).
